Benefits of Scalp Massaging

I’m sure you’ve heard that scalp massages are good for your scalp and hair follicles. Almost everyone in the natural hair community talks about this but has anyone ever told you why its beneficial?  Below are a few reasons for you to start making this a daily habit, I HIGHLY recommend this if you want to see quicker hair growth.

  2. Increases production of serotonin, a chemical in our bodies that is responsible for maintaining mood balance
  3. Stimulation of hair follicles
  4. Enhances blood circulation
  5.  Faster hair growth & treats thinning hair/hair loss
  6. They feel AMAZING


Choose your favorite carrier oil , I use castor oil, and warm to your liking. Apply to your scalp then massage for at least 2 minutes. See, that was easy! All you need is a few minutes each day!

Sometimes I don’t even use oil since my scalp is already moisturized from the day before. Also I don’t always apply to my whole scalp all  the time either. Only the areas that are more susceptible to breakage ( my crown and edges). Curlfriends, you have to make sure you are eating right to achieve maximum hair growth. Why? Because when massaging your scalp you are stimulating you hair follicles and the nutrients that are already in your body. So try including more eggs, spinach, and fruit in your diet.
